What is Open?

Open is a mindfulness studio designing a new way to practice wellbeing, together. We draw upon the best of traditions and technologies, old and new, blending music, sound, breath, movement, and visuals to ground in your senses and create something wholly new.

Our core methodology is paired with an immersive, social platform to make mindfulness achievable for all, on and offline. Bringing together a community of practitioners, we design artful classes, spaces, and content that all promote the power of direct experience. We’re building toward a world where everyone, everywhere, Opens everyday.

Account Support

How do I contact Open’s Customer Support?

You can email support@o-p-e-n.com and we will respond within 1-2 business days.

Do I need to create an account to try a class?

Yes, you will need to create an account. It only takes a moment to join us.

I am unable to log into my Open Account. Can you please help?

We apologize for any inconvenience you’re having accessing our classes. Please reach out via email (support@o-p-e-n.com) and our support team will help you out as soon as possible.

How do I manage my notifications?

You can customize your reminder settings via your profile by clicking “Manage notifications.”

How do I change my profile picture?

You can add, edit, or remove your profile picture at any time. Once you login to your account (on desktop or laptop, not mobile device), click on your name in the upper right of the window to reach your account information. Alternatively, click here to go to your profile page now. Next, click on the image of your profile picture to make edits.

Will my subscription auto renew?

Yes, you will be billed monthly or annually on the day you originally signed up for an Open subscription.

The renew cycle will continue until you tell us otherwise.

How do I cancel my subscription?

If you subscribed from the website, you can cancel at any time by going to your profile page on the website, and clicking “Cancel subscription”.

If you subscribed through the App Store, the easiest way to cancel is through the settings app on your mobile device. Please follow these instructions for visual guidance.

You may also cancel directly in the Open app:
01 — Tap your profile icon on the bottom right
02 — Tap the three dots to see your account settings
03 — Tap "Manage Subscription"
04 — Finally, tap the cancel button

If I already paid for my annual subscription and decide to cancel, will I get a refund?

If you would like to request a refund for an annual subscription, you will need to reach out to support immediately in order to be considered for a refund. Unfortunately, we cannot process refund requests made beyond 30 days from the charge. After canceling your subscription, you will have access to the Open app until the last day of your billing cycle, 365 days from your purchase.

If I already paid for my monthly subscription and decide to cancel, will I get a refund?

Canceling your subscription will not provide a refund for the current billing cycle. After canceling your subscription, you will have access to the Open app until the last day of your billing cycle. Please be mindful of your billing period and your subscription plan upon sign up as we do not currently have a “cancel now” feature.

Digital Experience

What is an Open subscription?

An Open subscription is your entry point to all digital Open experiences. It’s a $20 USD/month or $150 USD/year subscription that auto renews monthly or annually and can be canceled at any time. Subscription benefits include unlimited on-demand classes, workshops, and the ability to share the Open experience with friends.

Do I need to subscribe to Open in order to join a class?

If you are new to Open, you will receive 7-14 days of complimentary Open digital classes to start your practice with us (depending on the subscription type you choose). You will need to create an account to begin this introductory trial, and you may cancel your subscription at any time.

Is there an Open app?

Yes! Download our iOS app here. Access unlimited on-demand classes, practice synchronously with friends, and arrive at the destination for your journey ahead.

Is there a beginner class?

Our classes are designed for all levels—beginners, seasoned practitioners, and everything in between. Enter as you are. Our teachers offer choice so that you always feel at home with your practice.

Does Open have on demand content?

Our full on demand library is available both on our web app and through the Open iOS app, available here in the Apple App Store.

In-Person Experience

What do I need to bring to class?

Dress comfortably. For our yoga classes we recommend wearing something you can easily move in. We will provide you with a yoga mat. You are welcome to bring your own as well.

We provide eye masks for our Breath + Sound and Meditation classes. Additionally, we have sweat towels available at the studio for our yoga classes. You are always welcome to bring your own masks and towel if you prefer, too.

We have filtered water stations located at the studio if you need to fill up.

Studio Policy

Phones and personal belongings are not permitted in our practice room. We kindly ask that you leave all personal belongings stowed away in one of our cubbies. You may bring water and a towel with you into practice.

What time do I need to show up to class?

We recommend that you arrive at the studio and check-in with the front desk at least 10 minutes before your class. If you are new to the studio, please arrive 15 minutes early to sign our waiver and receive a tour of the studio. Doors close at start time and we do not guarantee entrance if your spot has been released to our waitlist.

What is your cancellation policy?

We kindly ask that you cancel your reservation 6 hours before your scheduled class in order to receive your credit back.

Reservations canceled after the 6 hour window are considered late cancellations and will not be refunded.

What is the waitlist?

Before Class: You are able to join our waitlist once a class is full! If a spot opens up, you will be auto enrolled until 7pm the night before class. If you are confirmed for class, your credit is nonrefundable past the cancellation window. If you are not enrolled into class by start time, your credit will be returned. If you have any questions, please reach out to venice@o-p-e-n.com

In Studio: Please feel free to arrive at the studio 15 minutes before class start time to check on the status of your waitlisting or to put your name down. We begin releasing spots one minute after class start time in the order they were enrolled.

How far in advance can I book class?

You can book class up to two weeks in advance.

How many spots can I reserve in a class?

You can reserve up to 4 spots in a class. If you are looking to reserve more than 4 spots in a class please reach out to our Studio Ops Crew (venice@o-p-e-n.com) for more information.

What options do I have for buying class credits?

We offer single credits for $34 which can be used towards our classes or Hot+Cold. You can also purchase the one-time Intro Pack or recurring memberships for a discounted price on credits. You can shop for membership tiers and class packs here.

Can I transfer or share my class package or membership?

Class credit packages can be shared amongst clients. Memberships, however, are non-transferable and can only be used to book for the buyer.

Do my class credits expire?

All single class credits and class packages expire one year from the date of purchase, no exceptions. Our recurring 30-day memberships, once activated, expire in 30 days – unused classes do not roll over.

Should you wish to discontinue a recurring membership, please be sure to cancel your subscription at least 24 hours before your next billing cycle.

What is your refund policy for class credits?

Single credits, credit packages, and membership packages are non-refundable and must be used within a certain time period. No exceptions.

What if I lose something at the studio?

We encourage you to store all personal belongings in one of our lockers. We are not responsible for any lost or stolen items. We do at times find personal belongings that have been left and we do keep them at the front with our studio ops team. Please reach out to venice@o-p-e-n.com with any questions.

Can I pause my membership?

Yes, we offer 30-day membership pauses once per year. Please chat with our studio team or send us an email at venice@o-p-e-n.com for more information.

How can I book a Hot+Cold session?

We offer 30 minute Hot+Cold sessions at our Venice studio for the cost of one credit. You can book your session here. We kindly ask that you check in at our front desk upon arrival.

Can I bring my dog to the studio?

In order to preserve the experience for all of our users, we do not allow dogs or other animals in the Open studio.

Integrations

How do I connect my Open app with my Strava app?

The Open + Strava partnership allows you to effortlessly share media and create new activities. Simply log in to your Open account, access settings, and toggle on ‘Connect Strava’ to authorize the connection. More information about the partnership is linked here.

Breathwork Safety

Can I take class if I am pregnant?

If you are pregnant, we do not recommend practicing any breath holds or fast-paced breathing (i.e., 3-part breath, interval breath) while practicing. Please consult with your doctor first.

Can I use the sauna along with breathwork?

Use of the sauna before or after breathwork may pose health risks, including dizziness, fainting, and increased heart rate. PleaseConsult a physician if you have any concerns.

What if I have a chronic condition?

If you have any chronic or acute health conditions, please consult with a doctor before practicing breathwork.
